This week, we attended the Emergency Services Show: an annual blue light sector event, which brings together over 500 companies and organisations.
This year, there was also a dedicated space to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the NHS, with talks from Adam Kay and a photography exhibition by Rankin.
Over two full days, professionals from across the emergency services sector join together to showcase cutting-edge technologies and operational solutions, share experiences and best practices, and unite in a collaborative approach to guaranteeing the safety and security of the public.
As a company, our primary focus is giving back to the emergency services community, so events like this are a great way to get the word out. As always, we were met with “what’s the catch?”, with some delighted faces when we explained that it really is just as good as it sounds!
Our personal favourites? The jetpack demonstration, which proved that we are well and truly living in the future; the beer goggles challenge and drink driving VR from WMFS, which was quite literally an eye-opening experience; the amount of rescue and wellbeing dogs, naturally; and the chance to talk to so many of our partners. While we will always prioritise communication with our partners and the many groups we work with, it’s rare that we get to have a real face-to-face chat!
With so many exhibitors and delegates at the event, it was hard to know where to look - but we had countless valuable conversations and look forward to seeing what comes out of these.
Roll on next year!
